Trade Show Displays

It was a long weekend for us after all. I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that hubby was planning in working on Memorial Day itself so I thought it would just be me and the little one home on memorial day. He works for himself so he can come in anytime he wants. Anyway, he actually went in his usual time but came back home after a couple of hours. I’d rather not say the reason why he came back home but I’m sure glad he did. He’s been working really hard so he deserves any break he gets. He’s back at work now. He said they have a lot of paper works to finish which can potentially get them some work because they are mostly quotes for jobs. But the quotes are not the only things they need to do this week. They need to look for some banner stands for a ‘special job’ they’re being offered. Why special job? Well, they won’t get paid upfront for doing the job. But it will be a great way to advertise what they do.

What’s this special job? A guy contacted them not too long ago and asked them if they want to be part of some trade show displays in different states. The guy is a promoter by trade and he came across the husband’s website. He said that by going to these trade shows and showcasing their products will be a big boost to their young business. My husband & his partner were quite busy when the promoter called but told him they would think about it. After some online research as well as talking to the guys he used to work for, hubby decided to give the trade show a try. With the way the economy is, they need to get as much advertisement as they can.

Anyway, now that Memorial Day weekend is over the next special occasion we are gearing up for is Father’s day which is going to be on June 21. The little one is of course all excited about it. I am too but I’m still trying to look for a great gift for the husband. I may just stick with personalized gifts so I am considering some kind of a canvas printing of one the many ‘sweet photos’ they have together. My only problem if and when I choose to do that will be picking out which of the many pictures they have together is the one I would want on a canvas. Decisions…decisions !
