Fall has Fallen?

Much like 'Spring has Sprung', eh? Here it's more like 'rainFALL' season instead of Fall season actually. This week it's mostly rainy in the forecast and so far, it's been accurate. Oh well, I guess even rainy season can be tardy sometimes, eh? Moving on, I've been quite busy lately. Mostly researching, contacting people, etc. It's been pretty hectic I must say because we're trying to beat some kind of a deadline...and it's not even work related. It's very time consuming as well as physically and mentally draining. You would think it won't be as physically demanding since I'm doing most of it online but that can take a toll on you believe it or not. Well guess what...we decided to slow down and take our time. First, there is no sense in hurrying it up. I think rushing to get it done will only cost us some unnecessary stress as well money. We're trying to meet some demands that we initially agreed to. We now realize that th

Time for a Change

Image
I'm one who is not really big on change. When I get comfortable with something I hate to get rid of it. I guess you can say I don't really like 'rocking the boat'. But sometimes change can also be good. And sometimes we just don't have a choice. We try to make the change for the greater good, right? Wow! It sounds dramatic doesn't it? LOL...it's not. I'm just being dramatic...haha. Anyway, it's nothing life altering [or maybe it is?]. We actually decided to switch from this:  ...to this! Yep, a recumbent bike. Before we had the Mobia treadclimber, we had this elliptical. The elliptical machine worked fine with me but not with my other half. It's a bit small for him to actually use it comfortably so we decided to get the tread climber which to me was just way too expensive. But if it's for health reasons, then price is put aside. For a while it worked fine with him. But his back started bothering him after using it so he st

Comparing

It seems that's what I do now everytime I need to purchase something. Who can blame me when there are some many places now to choose from whenever we have to make a purchase. It doesn't really matter if it's clothes, appliances or even insurance policies. And it can't get any easier today. All we have to do now is go online to get a rate from this website then compare it with the rate of another website. We can actually compare as many prices or rates as we want depending on the free time we have on our hands. Since I stay at home in most days, I can do that all day. This is why I am sometimes tasked to do just that by my someone who shall not be named. Ha! Anyway, speaking of which I am on to my next 'mission' actually. What could that be? I am supposed to hunt for a cheaper car insurance. Our policy is up in about a month and we just got the renewal notice and it's jacked up by almost 50%. We rarely use it, just like our health insurance so I don't re

Evaluated!

Done. Over. Passed with flying colors. Not me but the little one. Yesterday was her annual evaluation. This is the 6th year we've been to her evaluator so she actually saw our little one grow up. She's very pleased with her progress. As always I was the one who was stressed the past couple of weeks that I've been having some acid reflux because of it. Hopefully it will now ease up since it's all been done. I also have to make some major decisions in the next few months. Aarrghhh! Anyway, it's been a very interesting couple of weeks here. Some big developments as far as long term plans are concerned. Nothing is definite yet but if things go as planned there will be some big changes around here. Vague? I know. That's how I want it for now. Hopefully things will fall into place. Summer is almost over. Well, the season is anyway. Here in our neck of the weeds, summer is a way of life since we feel it even during winter. Lately, it's also been raining in th

It's That Time...

...of the year again. Well, almost. I'm talking about the onslaught of festivities that are on the way. A few weeks ago a TV host actually mentioned that Christmas decorations were already up in some stores...and it's only early July. I think that's a bit early. Beside there are other festivities before Christmas. Anyway, we were walking around a strip of stores last weekend and one of the stores we passed by is decorated with Halloween stuff. The little one got all excited because she likes dressing up for Halloween. Last year she didn't really dress up although she donned a mask when we were walking around the mall. This year she said she wants to find something she can wear as well. So I'm now looking at  department 56 halloween stuff hoping to find something for her. The thing is I'm actually finding some things I like because there are a lot of neat Halloween decors in this site. I have a couple of pumpkin lanterns already but I may just get some other Hal
