My Pumpkin Pie....

Okay, I left a message in Roselle's tagboard mentioning that I baked a pumpkin pie. Miss Marie read it and mentioned it on my tagboard. So I promised her that I will be posting a picture of the pie when I get the chance. A little background first. We had this humongous pumpkin that we were not able to carve last Halloween. It's been sitting on the table in the kitchen since then. So in one of our conversations, it was mentioned that I will be making a pumpkin pie with it instead. Since that conversation, my beloved daughter has been making kulit to make the pie already. Watching the Food Network does not help either because all of the shows there now are about Thanksgiving...and pumpkin pie. I finally gave in today and cut the pumkin after lunch. That alone was a task...it's so big I had to put it on the floor so I can cut it without stabbing myself...hehe. I was planning on baking it tomorrow but of course that's not possible...not with a 5 yr old tailing you around the house asking me the same question she's been asking me for weeks...When are we going to bake the pie?....Hay talaga naman... Anyway, hubby got a grahams pie crust so I didn't have to make the crust. Unfortunately he didn't like the pie as much with that crust....and pumpkin pie is his favorite. I guess we won't be using that crust anymore.
