Just one of her many doodles that little one gave me. She made this one for me last Saturday... I guess as a 'thank you' for sorting out the stuff in her bedroom...LOL. She didn't tell me about it and I just saw it after I was done in her bedroom. It was sitting on the counter still 'wet'.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yep, we're in for a very cold weekend. If the past couple of days were rainy, the next couple of days [or more] will be cold. Today we woke up with a higher 30s temperature. As of this writing, we're having lower 50s. If my computer weather bug is right, the highest will only be in the lower 60s. Can I say....brrrrr???? I'm sure glad that the warmer clothes I ordered online for the little arrived earlier this week. She's already wearing one of the outfits today. I still have to get her some more plus some new shoes as well. The one we got her a few weeks ago are sandals because it was pretty hot during those days. Now I have to find some shoes that will keep her little toes warm and comfy. I'm thinking of getting her either ecco shoes or some UGG boots if I find one that she likes. She has to approve of them or else they will be ignored. I can no longer do what I did before which was to decide which clothes or shoes she likes. She...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The little one's hair has never been cut except for one occasion when she was about 3. She cut a bit of her hair while I was busy doing something in the kitchen. Fortunately, it wasn't obvious so we didn't have to do any damage control. I still have that hair in a ziplock bag tucked in somewhere. Anyway, lately she's been starting to talk about possibly having a hair cut. We're still thinking about it but if ever we decide to go through with it, it won't be anything drastic. Maybe just a little trim so her hair stays healthy. Anyway, when I came out of the computer room to get something from the kitchen and I was surprised to see her hair a bit messy by the forehead. I asked her what she's doing and she said she's trying to see if she'd look good with bangs! She didn't cut it or anything but I just thought she looked funny. I told her she can have bangs if she wants to but not yet. She has these little pimples on her...

That's me when I was in Gr. 2. I was about 8 ½ years when this picture was taken so it's close to the age of our little one. Those that have seen this picture in my FB commented that they can see a similarity between me and the little one. It's probably because of the long hair and the big round eyes but that's where the similarity ends. Personality wise, she's a combination of me and the husband but she definitely is more outgoing than both of us. I'm sure though that one thing she's not taking after me would be my height. Right now, she's almost my height and the rate she's going, she may be taller than her Dad in no time. I'm happy she doesn't have to click here to see if she needs help in getting taller. Dad's side of the family has some really tall relatives. His oldest brother and an older sister are well over six feet tall so the little one won't be out of place if there's a family gathering. ... is taking pictures of herself doing some 'cover girl' poses! That's what she calls them anyway. If her 'thing' a few months ago was recording herself singing and/or making home movies, posing for the 'camera' is now her new 'thing'. For the record, she takes these pictures of her striking a pose by herself. I taught her to use the self-timer and since then the self-timer has become the most used button in her camera. She's just growing way too fast...sigh! She's got a bunch of pictures striking a pose and some of them are really hilarious because she's trying really hard to make it look like she's a 'cover girl'. She had some where her hair had the 'wind blown/swept' effect. That's because she had the ceiling fan turned on [to get the 'wind swept hair' look] while she's taking the pictures....LOL!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's what the little one just blurted out when she saw 3 young men [BOYS!]. Huh??? I had to run to the window to see what she meant...and there walking down the street are 3 boys. I don't know how you would 'define' or describe 'cool guys' but according to the little one, the 3 'guys' ~ that's how she referred to them, not boys or men, mind you, guys! ~ are cool because: ~ they're wearing dark jackets ~ they have their hands in their pocket while they're walking ~ they have 'spiky' hair ~ and the way they walk [didn't bother asking her what 'way' of walking that is] I know she's getting bigger by the minute but can I at least slow down the part where she talks about 'guys'?? PLEASE???

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yes we are....according to the little one. What makes her think that? We don't have MILK! The back window of our car was smashed late last week. A neighbor at hubby's work was walking around with a piece of granite and accidentally hit the window. It was supposed to be fixed on Friday but the guy that's supposed to install the new window brought the wrong glass. Big surprise! Anyway, since hubby didn't want to leave an 'open' car in the parking lot of the grocery store, he chose not to do the usual Friday grocery shopping. Thus, the lack of milk in our fridge. This morning when I asked the little one what she wanted for breakfast she [of course] wanted something where milk had to be used. After a couple of - 'we can't do that because we don't have milk' - that's when she said and I quote: "I feel so poor because Dad didn't go grocery shopping." Boo hooo! Our guitars. The pink one is mine...LOL. Nah, it's the little one's of course. Dad got it for her just last Tuesday while he got mine last....December....of 2001. I rarely play it but that may change now that the little one has her own. We haven't gotten anywhere yet but we're working on it. She definitely likes to strum it a lot. I am not that good in tuning the strings [lack of experience I guess] but I was able to 'somehow' tune it...I think. I only know the basic chords but enough to get her started I hope. Again, wish us luck. Oh, the husband bought a harmonica. He said it's for him. I don't know about that since the little one is also liking that one. Hmmmm....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the little one singing with the new Taylor Swift song called: You Belong with Me ... acapella She's a big TS fan right now so that's all I'm hearing around the house lately. The little one's video is far from perfect but I'm a proud Mama. She recorded this all on her own so pardon the little 'booboos/mistakes' she made while recording/singing. Enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I posted the 'bought' Mother's Day card our little one gave me on MD. That card was actually the last card she gave me. Throughout the week she's been making me cards and handing them to me every morning. I have one really sweet and thoughtful little girl. She makes every occasion special for both me and her Dad. For that I am very thankful.... Here are a couple of the cards she made for me.

She was pretty excited about this card. She said she chose it herself. It's cute, isn't it? Anywhooo....I'm pretty tired because of my lovely cold so I'll be blogging about the " PIZZA " I got for mother's Day some other time. This card was part of the 'pizza'... PS: The card is 8-fold[?] so it got bigger and bigger as I opened it...if that even makes sense...LOL.

Tooth Fairy! Yes, she lost another tooth last night! She lost 1 last Saturday, then last night, she asked me to pull the other one. Yes, I pulled it just like last Saturday...and I don't feel bad about it...hehe. She's getting antsy about it because it's been loose for weeks now just like the other one. I didn't want to pull them at the same time because it may be too much for her. But...she asked me last night and I obliged, readily if I may say so! As soon as she finished rinsing the blood off, she blurted out: Whew! I'm glad it's out. Now I can chew again! It turned out she's been chewing on one side only and probably got tired of it. As for the Tooth Fairy, she left some coins under her pillow. I told her before she went to bed that the TF may leave her an "IOU" because she may have run out of coins already. When she found the coins under her pillow this morning, she gave out a big sigh of relief...hahaha....

Smile! Here she is ready to conquer the world...errr...our backyard. This was just a couple of nights ago. She wanted to go out and go on a star-gazing safari [her words not mine] with Dad. I was taken aback when she came out of her bedroom wearing her 'winter gears'.....ummmm, it's spring....that feels like summer so no idea where that came from. She's cute though, isn't she? B-O-O!!! Can you see me now?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sort of. The little one lost another tooth last night. The tooth had been wobbly for weeks but it wouldn't come out. She DARED me to pull it out a few week ago but I didn't want to because it was still very much attached to her gums. I told her once it's loose enough I would pull it out. It's been bleeding everytime she brushes her teeth so I thought it maybe time to take some drastic measures....and that's exactly what I did! I PULLED IT last night. I think I was more nervous than her because I wasn't sure if it would hurt or not. It didn't. Whewww.... So last night, we got a visit from the: glitter-graphics.com So now...she's RICH! [according to her anyway]

That's our little one. She likes to joke a lot. When I went to the ophthalmologist for the first time, she cracked a lot of jokes to the patients who were in the waiting room with us. And she was a big HIT to them. They even asked her to stay with them when I went in for my turn...LOL. When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday, we were not not surprised at all when she readily said: a big fat JOKE BOOK ! Dad looked for the big fat joke book online but there's no big fat joke book...they're all thin books. So we got her several joke books instead. She already read [and used] almost all of the jokes in her books. Btw, the one an the bottom of the picture is not a book. It's the 'whoopie' cushion that I wasn't aware of until the Dad got it for her as well. It's a 'farting' cushion!!! It's now broken because it's overused. Can you imagine how much 'fart sounds' I had to endure in the last few days????

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Instead of having a small party at home like last year, we celebrated the little one’s birthday by going to the movie and eating out. We had the usual ice cream & cake the night before because we wanted to surprise her. She’s always excited about birthdays so we wanted her to be surprised as much as possible even if it’s a simple cake & ice cream only. We got her most of the gifts she wanted so she’s a happy camper. She’s been playing with them non-stop. Anyway, our movie date was just the second time she’s been in a movie theater so she’s very much curious still as to the comings and goings of the place. She sees everything from the people that are watching to the numerous Exit Signs found in the theater. I had to remind her not to talk once the movie started…and she tried not to so I’m proud of her for being able to hold her mouth. After the movie we went to the restaurant near the movie house. The birthday girl was of course giddy because she...

Yep, our little one is not so little anymore. I know it happens but it still kinda' sad to note it won't be long before she thinks Mom or Dad is not cool anymore. Wahhh.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The little one is over the moon nowadays...and it's all because of the swing that Dad put in the backyard. She's been been wanting one but since it was too cold to use it the past few months, Dad had to wait for the weather to warm up a little bit. She didn't even know it was a swing he was putting until it was all done. Dad wanted to buy one from Lowe's or Home Depot and just place it in the backyard but they didn't have one that he liked so he bought some chains and a piece of wood and made a swing himself. It's now hanging in one of the big trees in the backyard. The little one is still a bit scared to get on it but she's getting the hang of it. I'm sure she'll be swinging away before long. Here she is giving it a try...

Pretty dress, eh? I found this at Sears. The little one loves it because of the detailing on the dress as well the ribbon with flower around the waist. I was just browsing when she saw this dress. Now she wants a pink one as well. It's a good thing there is an ongoing sale right now at Sears so this dress and a lot like it are on a 40% off. Cool! At least I won’t break the bank even if we’re getting her some fancy looking dresses that she can wear in time for Easter. So this weekend, we may be heading out to visit the Sears near us and see what they have to offer. I read that they are having a 75%-80% off original prices on fall and winter apparel so I may just have to do some 'stocking up' on our fall and winter apparel for next winter. Mind you, the little one's change of wardrobe every season cost a small fortune. We have to get her new ones everytime because she's still growing. That means she can't wear the clothes she wear last winter for next winter. Any...

That's the very first 'sprout' that she found this morning! She sowed some Blue Texas Bonnet and Pink Petunias seeds about 2 weeks ago. She's been watering them religiously and watching them like a hawk! The 'hawk' got lucky this morning and saw the sprout. It was like she won the lotto or something.... Here are the 4 pots where she put the seeds. In a few days I'm sure more will be sprouting out so I better start thinking where we should plant them.
