Interesting, isn't it? It's also a good way to get the attention of passengers and 'listen' [??] to the instructions. That's debatable of course since we're not sure if the passengers are actually listening or just watching. LOL. Hopefully it's the former just in case something happens. This video reminds me of the 'dancing cop' which was also popular some years ago. I never actually saw the 'dancing cop' directing traffic only on TV but it would have been cool to actually see it in person. Again, it was entertaining but there was also that fear that more accidents might happen because the attention of the drivers were all focused on the entertaining 'dancing cop'. I wonder if there is still dancing cop somewhere in the Phils?

This is NOT a political post. I just came across an article in Philippine star with the accompanying picture about her being 'nearly' broke...as in 'no money' broke. That's according to her [and probably her family] anyway. Maybe she can sell that 22 carat rock/ice she has on her finger, eh? I just thought it's interesting how someone claims he or she is broke while flashing that big 'ole rock.

The little one's video is far from perfect but I'm a proud Mama. She recorded this all on her own so pardon the little 'booboos/mistakes' she made while recording/singing. Enjoy! He apologized for how they [mostly him?] acted when Susan Boyle first auditioned, before she started singing. Anyway, Susan made it through to the finale so here's wishing her the best of luck! I'm sure she has some really tough competition but she definitely stands a chance. Here's the video from You Tube.

According to ABC's Good Morning America , some of the wealthiest people in the world held a closed door meeting not too long ago. What were they meeting about? How to help charities that are having a hard time during this time of economic turmoil. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Mayor Bloomberg, Oprah Winfrey were only 4 of the billionaires who were present in the meeting. Not quite sure how many were there but according to the news , those that were at the meeting have total worth of about $125 billion. Whoop! whoop! Yes, a certain paper in Atlanta jumped the gun and erroneously reported that Adam Lambert won the American Idol title for 2009. Hahaha!!! Needless to say the reporter was probably rooting for Adam. Oh well...even Kris was surprised himself. Look at his face when he was named this year's IDOL....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ... season of UPSET! At least that's what some TV shows are calling it. In the Tuesday night Finale of Dancing with Stars , many thought that front runner pair Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke will take home the Mirror Ball Trophy. Not quite because Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas snagged it from them. I guess Gilles' fans didn't all rally enough behind him & his partner. Mark & Shawn themselves were caught by surprise but that's what the fans wanted...and so this pair won! How about American Idol ? This is a bigger upset I think. The judges, especially the mighty Simon, openly predicted that Adam Lambert will take home the title but boy was he ever wrong. I guess the Kiss of Curse that David Cook was afraid of getting actually landed on Adam. He was the crowd's favorite for most of the season. But I guess the clean cut, boy next door contestant pulled the biggest surprise of them all...taking the AI title under Adam Lambert...

I thought I'd take a break from blogging about the non-stop rain here [and yes, it's still raining!], and post about this season finale of American Idol . As you probably know already, it's those 2 up top who are probably on the edge of their seats now waiting for the final verdict. So who do you think will be crowned American Idol this year? Adam Lambert or Kris Allen? We'll see tonight! Truth be told, I never really sat down to watch the show in its entirety. It's airing at the same time my favorite show is airing so I have to choose. What show? NCIS of course. The hubby though only missed an episode because I forgot to remind him....tee hee...so I'm still on the loop. I know he's rooting for one of them but he likes both. Me? I don't have a pick actually but if I have to choose, I'd probably go with Kris Allen. His music is more like my kind of music. There! Picture from the American Idol official website

Yep, it's a pig in boots! Not sure if it's real or photoshopped but I find it hilarious to see a pig wearing boots....especially nowadays that 'pigs' are the center of attraction and not for good reasons. Thanks but no thanks to the infamous swine flu of course.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ... for the Pacman himself, Manny Pacquiao. This time it's for the light welterweight crown. I didn't watch the fight but I've been following it online. Of course Filipinos all over the world are rejoicing over this win. Some even got worried that Ricky Hatton had the advantage because he's towering the Philippine's pride. But all that worry flew out the window as soon as Pacquiao started throwing punches. Here's a You Tube video showing ESPN Boxing Analyst predicting Pacquioa's win.

It's hilarious to say the least because she'll be singing at her little heart's content. Here she is singing along with Taylor Swift's "Picture to Burn"....pardon the visuals [or lack thereof]. I had the digital camera sitting on the table while I was working and just turned it on to capture the 'singing' only. It would have been better if I captured everything because she was also dancing/jumping while singing . Maybe next time...Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's the Oscars tonight and it's the 81st award ceremony. It's probably the biggest night in Hollywood as far as movies are concerned. This year Australian actor Hugh Jackman is hosting the event so I'm expecting lots of singing and dancing on his part. He's not a comedian [although he can crack jokes] unlike most of the former hosts so he's spiel will probably short and sweet. I have not really sat down and watched the award show so I usually just flip through the different online magazines to find out who won the previous night. I don't have any personal picks since I didn't see any of the films nominated...haha...

Yeah! That's Michael Phelps alright. LOL...he's been named as the Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Surprise? I'm not. With all the buzz he created when he won those 8 gold medals at the Beijing Olympics, how can it be a surprise?
