Late Night Post....

Sigh...It's now 10:35 PM and the husband just got back from a road trip again. Yep, after that grueling 12+ hour trip to Georgia last Friday, they had to do another one today. He drove as our car was the one used for the trip... again...sigh!

This time it's in one of the cities here but it's still a 4-hr drive. I feel bad for him as his migraine was pretty much 'on' during the weekend. He said last night that if he's feeling that cr**py today then he would skip this one.

But knowing him, I just knew that he would go on this one today and he did.

He would have been home much earlier if they didn't have to wait on so many people to do their jobs. They were almost done at lunchtime and was only waiting for the other workers at the site to do their thing so hubby and his partner can finish up. But nope, the 3PM departure they anticipated didn't happen until around 6 PM because of this "waiting game".

Oh well...that's part of his job and definitely part of having a small business. I just hope his migraine wouldn't come back because of this trip.

the trip to illinois was 13 hours each way and yeah it was so exhausting. for hubby most especially coz he does all the driving. so i understand how ur husband must be feeling about the long drives and if its work, wow he must have been a very workaholic person.

Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
