And Then I'm Older....

Yep, I am now a year older, hopefully, wiser as well. The day was spent at home. Surprise, surprise! The little one woke me up to greet me happy birthday...

We just lazed around the house...I was in my pjs the whole day...LOL. The little one would greet me every chance she gets. Dad did some work around the house....touching up some peeled off paint and putting up a door to cover up something in the laundry room.

After lunch, we just laid in bed, all 3 of us, watching TV. The little one called it a: slumber party. Ha! When the show finished, father and daughter left to get me this:

Yep, a birthday cake. It has somehow become a tradition that I get an ice cream cake on my birthday. It's what I've been getting ever since I came over here.

After dinner of my favorite KFC chicken [I requested it...hehe], the little one handed me their present. This....
a nice bracelet

I used to wear a bracelet all the time but it broke a few weeks ago. I guess that's a good clue that I needed a new one, eh?

So that's how my birthday was spent. Nothing big, nothing fancy. I'm happy as can be. I still miss my Nanay and Tatang everytime I have a birthday but this is life now. I know they're happy wherever they are knowing I have my own little family. That's all they wanted for me anyway.

 ...is that still even a thing today? I stopped blogging actively several years ago...so now I'm like starting all over again.  I don't even know what to post anymore. A lot has changed since I started this blog in 2008. Yep, that's how long ago it's been. Back then I just wanted to write whatever. I was already a WAHM - Work at Home Mom when I started this blog and that's how my blog title came about. I started doing work-at-home jobs as early as 2002. I had a handful of different jobs I was juggling at that time so blogging was just really something I did during my free time. After a while I did paid blogging. I did that for a few years. I tried to do it as much as I could but my 'real' jobs had to be my priority so my blogging had to take a back seat. In retrospect, that may be the reason why I slowly lost interest in doing it.
