Getting Better

I think anyway. My doctor wanted to see me yesterday so we had to run out later in the day. I actually called him on Saturday and he disagreed with us that I was having allergic reaction to my meds. He said it's unlikely because I've been on them for 3 weeks. My husband and I went online and read some facts about the meds and what do you know...allergic reaction to it happens a lot after weeks of being on it.

So off we went to the doctor yesterday afternoon. He agreed that it's indeed allergic reaction. Duh! He wants some blood work done and he prescribed me another medicine that I should take after 2 weeks. I also have some meds for severe allergic reaction in case the itching gets unbearable. It's not that itchy anymore actually since it's the 5th day already...so those meds are useless now. Oh well...

Anyway, I am just relaxing today. Hoping to get all better altogether. In the meantime,thanks to Ate Beng of Beyond My Quiet Zone for these "awards" ....

hives nga, o di ba pwede akong maging doktor? grabe, that your doc didn't even think of allergic reaction as the culprit.hello??? di ba may build up na yung gamot sa system mo?

kaya dito, even if I see doctors often, for some reason I'm always skeptical sa mga sinasabi nila. kaya ako ang pinakamausyuso na patient. I have a lot of questions all the time and won't take that 'nagmamadali' style ng mga docs dito.

anyway, hope the hives subside soon. grabe, I know that feeling.

btw, ang aga ko ano? been up since 7:00 a.m., another sleepless night, mainit kasi the central heat is still on.ramdam ang heat kahit off ang control. Maintenance just came over for the scheduled radiator clean up and filter replacement. obviously, napaaga ang summer temps, and the maintenance people are not ready for the cooling season yet. 2 nights na akong walang tulog.

89 degrees kami right now aakyat daw sa low 90's. fried na ang beauty ko dito.

ang kadaldalan ko dala ng kawalan ng tulog hahaha.

Having allergic reaction is not at all cool. Sometimes I dont trust doctors at all.Hahhahahaha!

i agree with juliana. doctors make mistakes too. kaya ako sobra rin usyoso sa mga binibigay na meds sa akin. go to another doctor for a second opinion. baka mamaya mali rin yon first diagnosis.

naku mommy j! hope u get better soon! i don't like the feeling of laging nangangati..i have low tolerance for itch no! grabe! scratch to the max ako pag makati talga..good thing, natitiis mo khit papano..i feel ur suffering :( nyways, censia na ngayon lng ko nakadalaw...thanks a lot for ur visits and comments..appreciate them truly! :)

hi mommy J, hope you're okey na. minsan ganyan talaga ang doctors. i know the feeling, grabe, super itchy yan. yung latest experience ko dyan ay nung pagkapanganak ko pa lang kay Thea, as in few hours pa, and the culprit was the pain reliever they gave me. naniwala naman sila agad since may history na nga ako ng allergic reaction sa pain relievers. so, binigyan ako ng anti-histamine then stop muna ang gamot na yun. nawala nga ang allergies pero imagine the pain without taking pain reliever for almost 1 day after delivering the baby. buti na lang normal, pano kung c-section d ba?

ay naku. gumising akong late(1:00 p.m.) at sa wakas nakatulog na rin. oero alam mo, nagngingitngit pa rin ako. sobra kasing kakainis ang natuklasan ko. pag sabihin ko sa yo, baka maging wary ka rin sa paligid mo.

hope your hives are totally gone. oo nga, maybe you should get a second opinion lalo na you will have to go back to taking the thyroid pills.

Imagine, that doctor of yours would still insist it's not allergic reaction?! Good thing that yours wasn't that life threatening. Others have hard time breathing aside from skin redness. At least you're better now. Hay nakoh, saan pa tayo pupunta kung hindi alam ng mga doctors na yan ang ginagawa nila! Wawa naman tayo!

 ...is that still even a thing today? I stopped blogging actively several years ago...so now I'm like starting all over again.  I don't even know what to post anymore. A lot has changed since I started this blog in 2008. Yep, that's how long ago it's been. Back then I just wanted to write whatever. I was already a WAHM - Work at Home Mom when I started this blog and that's how my blog title came about. I started doing work-at-home jobs as early as 2002. I had a handful of different jobs I was juggling at that time so blogging was just really something I did during my free time. After a while I did paid blogging. I did that for a few years. I tried to do it as much as I could but my 'real' jobs had to be my priority so my blogging had to take a back seat. In retrospect, that may be the reason why I slowly lost interest in doing it.
