American Idol & Dancing with the Stars...

... season of UPSET! At least that's what some TV shows are calling it. In the Tuesday night Finale of Dancing with Stars, many thought that front runner pair Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke will take home the Mirror Ball Trophy.

Not quite because Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas snagged it from them. I guess Gilles' fans didn't all rally enough behind him & his partner. Mark & Shawn themselves were caught by surprise but that's what the fans wanted...and so this pair won!


How about American Idol?


This is a bigger upset I think. The judges, especially the mighty Simon, openly predicted that Adam Lambert will take home the title but boy was he ever wrong. I guess the Kiss of Curse that David Cook was afraid of getting actually landed on Adam. He was the crowd's favorite for most of the season. But I guess the clean cut, boy next door contestant pulled the biggest surprise of them all...taking the AI title under Adam Lambert's feet.

Anyway, congratulations to Kris Allen! He truly deserves it.


By the way, one of my favorite number in the show was when he did a duet with Keith Urban. He truly held his own and I really think, he would go the route that another AI champion Carrie Underwood is taking. COUNTRY music!

Oh, I agree with this! I was upset at first, especially with the result for the Dancing With The Stars... Gilles really wanted to win and worked very, very hard..he was really, really good! i acutally thought he'd win...but, i guess, Shawn has more fans..she's cute though and she had improved a lot with her dancing.. :)

I was routing for Adam because of his unique amazing voice! grabe ha! But at the same time, I like Kris's humility..."quiet confidence" as they called it...and cute din sya ha :) i also like his style of singing and music..easy to listen to...:)

nyways, Mommy J, i just posted the award u gave me...salamat ha! kakatuwa :) ingats! :)

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

M-U-L-C-H-E-D

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
