Pond?

In front of our house? That's what it looks like, right? Actually, it's just water from a heavy rain yesterday afternoon. It rained so much that it looked like we had a small pond by the front. We also had a small puddle on our back porch so the little one had a few minutes of fun. What's with puddles and little kids anyway? She can't seem to resist the urge to stomp on it whenever she sees a rain puddle...

The rain lasted less than an hour but it dumped 6 inches of rain according to the weather people on TV. The people around here got a wee bit excited and started taking pictures...yep, including us. LOL....

It's actually raining while I'm typing and it looks like we're going to have a repeat of yesterday which is not good. Yes, the grass needs watered but it almost drowned yesterday. Our neighbor's backyard still looks muddy from where I'm standing so it can only get worse if it rains as hard as it did yesterday. Maybe we should start singing..."rain, rain, go away...come again another day".

oh...whenever i see pouring outside, it reminds me always of my childhood days, me, my siblings and cousins used to play on a muddy, flooding area we have in our compound. all the memories really flashed back... so i do understand what's your girl up to lately whenever she sees heavy rains...

too much rain isn't good too...because it'll end up flooding and once it's done there will be stagnant water in your place... good thing mosquitoes that carries viruses don't survive in this continent...

that's how it has been here in NY since yesterday. although, in our area we're not getting as much. hanggang bukas pa daw ang ulan.

my mind has been preoccupied the past week dahil my Mom and the rest of the staff in her house was hospitalized for food poisoning. pare-pareho sila ng kinain, crabs daw. problem is, my Mom is the only sickly person kaya siya ang tinamaan ng todo. now, her nephrologist bumped up her dialysis from 2x/week to 3x.

grabe at nakakabahala but wala kang magawa.

enjoy the downpour! since wala tayong choice, i-enjoy na lang di ba?

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
