Pregnant....

Nope, not me. I got an email from a niece of mine telling me that she's 7 months pregnant...yay! I am going to be a grandmother...again!! I have more grandchildren than I care to count but it always makes me happy whenever I hear that my younger relatives are starting their own families already.

Anyway when I heard she's on the way, I thought of the time when I was pregnant. I had the perfect pregnancy considering I was in my mid 30s. No problem at all. Our Ob-Gyn even said I had a text-book pregnancy.

If I were any younger, I would definitely want to have another pregnancy but I'm not willing to take the risk so I just make myself happy by digging at old photos of me when I was pregnant. I really loved being pregnant and I think it showed on my face.

Here's a picture during the my baby shower. This was exactly a month before I delivered my 8.2 lbs bundle of joy...so I was 8 months pregnant. It's not that obvious, is it?
Anyway, I just thought I'd share a couple of my preggy pics....

...since my Tatang passed. Just like my Nanay who 'left' 4 months ahead of him, I miss him so much. I was, am, and will always be his little girl. My throat hurts at this moment while typing because I'm trying not to cry as the little one is here beside me. So who is this man we fondly call 'Tatang'? He's a very hardworking man who spent his entire life trying to make a living to support everyone in his family, some siblings and his mother included. He never finished school because at the age of 16, he was already working full time to help augment his family's income. He got married a bit late [at 29] because of this "responsibility". He and my mother didn't start a family of their own right away because he wanted to help his family a little more I guess.
