Another School Shooting....

What a way to celebrate Valentine's Day for the victims. According to CNN news, 18 people were shot at Northern Illinois University's DeKalb campus. They said that the person dressed in black just kicked the door of a classroom open then started shooting with a shotgun and a pistol. Many of the victims had been shot in the head. No immediate report on any fatalities except for the gunman who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

What is happening??? It's like every few months there is a mass shooting happening somewhere here in the US...and at school grounds??? Don't they have some kind of security at the gate? They make it so hard to get on a plane, checking every nook and cranny of ones body and baggages. Shouldn't they be doing that in schools as well?

I don't know what to think anymore. What can possess someone to just walk in a room full of students/people and just start shooting? How much hatred can one have to do that? This person probably didn't know half or if any at all of the people he shot. Unbelievable!

that is also my question, how can kids bring knives and guns inside the school. In the Philippine schools student cannot enter school premised without an ID and everything is checked. Wala nga dito uniform e, nakakatakot no?

Unfortunately for a big campus like that it's hard to check, there are no gates whatsoever. For the University its costly to put security guards on every building. It's sad. :(

It's scary and sad. Parang trend nlang every year may mass shooting. YOu don't feel safe for your kids anymore. :(

I was really shocked that its really rampant na jud ang mga shootings diha sa US, wala ng place na ginapili... its really sad to know that they can purchase guns just anywhere.. para lang talagang normal na nagbebenta dyan nga mga baril, everything will start it there talaga.. just soo sad that they just can take someone's life in just one click....

i hope that US government would ban stores who do sales guns...

Paid Blogging....

 ...is that still even a thing today? I stopped blogging actively several years ago...so now I'm like starting all over again.  I don't even know what to post anymore. A lot has changed since I started this blog in 2008. Yep, that's how long ago it's been. Back then I just wanted to write whatever. I was already a WAHM - Work at Home Mom when I started this blog and that's how my blog title came about. I started doing work-at-home jobs as early as 2002. I had a handful of different jobs I was juggling at that time so blogging was just really something I did during my free time. After a while I did paid blogging. I did that for a few years. I tried to do it as much as I could but my 'real' jobs had to be my priority so my blogging had to take a back seat. In retrospect, that may be the reason why I slowly lost interest in doing it.
