8 Facts You Don't Know About Me!! A Tag...

This tag was started by someone I've known for a while...Lena of "And Life Goes On...for a Filipino Mom". When I say for while...I meant - 16 years! How so?? One of her daughters - eldest - was one of my students in Gr. 4 Math when I was teaching in the Philippines. I should add that her daughter was one of the best if not the best in my class. Anyway, Lena somehow found her way to my blog and left me message. Of course I went to visit her blog and started 'snooping' around...yes, I snoop around! LOL! What did I see??? An old picture of her kids! That's where I recognized her 3 girls...plus a boy that I didn't recognize who turned out to be his youngest.

1) If my father didn't hide a letter from a congregation accepting my application, I'd probably be a Nun today. I asked him after I found the letter to let me try it but he said no so instead of becoming a Mother Superior....I am now a Mother, period. LOL!2) I used to sing my heart out and record my singing in a cassette tape. I later found out that my Nanay would play the tapes repeatedly whenever I was back in Manila [college days]. I was the only one among their 5 kids who was away from home then.
3) I am the 4th child and the only one with a college degree for the longest time...until my brother decided to go back to school to have a college degree later in his life.
4) I am my parents' daughter. I dedicated my life to them even nixing the idea of getting married because I was worried I won't be able to support them if I got married. I got married when they were both gone.
5) I finished college with a scholarship grant. Lucky me!
6) My parents passed away 4 months apart and I was away both times. I was teaching in Taiwan when my mother passed while I was in Manila [picking up my plane ticket for Taiwan] when my father passed. Coincidence? I don't think so.
7) Most of my friends think I have a good singing voice but I am not really convinced. I can carry a tune [in a bucket?] but my voice is not out of the ordinary.
8) I taught 'me' how to play the guitar because SOMEONE told me I was too old to learn it...I was in first year high school then. I became one guitarists in my high school until I graduated.

we've lived in taiwan coz hubby used to manage 101. but the constant earthquakes really freaks us out! hehehe!
