"Fly Like an Eagle"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With the Holy Week just passed, we probably had the chance to sit and contemplate about life in general. I tend to do that every year although I know it should be done more frequently than that. So when I got this 'food for thought' in my email, I thought of posting it here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it arrives? The eagle will fly to a high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us experience our own personal storms - we can rise above them all by understanding that the storm is really just a challenge brought to us by the Divine as a means to lifts us up. In life, growth from challenges is what life is about.

When you understand this, you will be able to rise above the winds of the storms that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in your lives. You can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down. It is how we handle them.
