Changing Careers...

I think I mentioned here that I recently re-connected with some of my high school friends because of our Alumni website. Anyway, one of these friends is a guy who is now in Las Vegas, Nevada. He said that he used to live in San Francisco but decided to move to Las Vegas. He’s not working on any full-time job right now because he is still undecided as to what field he really wants to take. He used to be a Social Worker but some of his relatives are encouraging him to try real estate. So when I came across the Nevada real estate appraisal courses being offered by Key Realty School, he is the first person I thought of. He’s not sure yet if he wants to go down that road, but I’m sure that after I let him know of these courses, he may just give it a try. Anyway, there’s no harm in trying, right?

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. It's not that I have nothing to write about. I have plenty but I seem to have lost interest in blogging. I thought  at first that it was just a phase. I thought it would only last for a few days but days turned into weeks then months then years and I still haven't blogged. Nothing sparked my interest to blog so I just didn't. Not even paid posts lured me back. I even considered deleting it altogether. I felt like I'm wasting my money paying for the domain name. But I can't do it so I just keep on paying. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
