Guess what my Middle Name is???

Nope, I am not having a contest or a guessing game here. This is just one of my interesting conversations with our little girl this afternoon.

I was watching a TV show. One of the characters has the same name as hers And whenever she hears her name, it still amazes her that someone else has that same name. Imagine that!

Anyway, when she heard 'her name' mentioned, she came running in the room and said, 'Yes, Mom?'. She thought I called her. That started our conversation. She was talking about our first names and last names then middle names. She stopped when it was my middle name she had to say...

Since I only have 1 name, technically I don't have a middle name here in the US. I told her that and explained to her that I wasn't born here so a 'second [middle] name was not needed when I was born.

But you have a middle name. It's "Mommy"....

There ya go...I guess next time I'm asked what my middle name is, I would have to tell them it's Mommy! And I thought my middle name was "Trouble"....LOL...

That's what I'm talking about! My son and I had the same conversation about names and middle names too. One of the sign that our kids are heading on the right direction.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
