Happy Memorial Weekend...

It's the weekend...the Memorial Day weekend actually here in the US. A lot of people are probably heading for the beach or are actually in the beach now. Us? Well, not quite. We're actually stuck in the house waiting for a call.

Whose call? The guy who should be putting the sod in the new house...well, not in the house but around the house. The husband is home today actually. He's rarely home on Saturdays as he also works on the weekend. But he opted to stay home...and wait in agony [hehe] for the 'sod guy's' call.

I just hope the guy is putting sod or else they will have one pi**ed customer in the husband here. He hates it when people just don't do what they say they will.

Once this guy calls, we may go out to do some window shopping...well, window treatment shopping. We still have not picked the curtains and/or blinds for the house and we have to do it soon. We may also go to the Philippine store to get some 'champorado' for the little one. She's been asking for the choco porridge for the last 2 weeks or so.

Sunday...grocery shopping of course. The rest of the day is still up in the air. How about you, what's your big "Memorial Day" weekend plan?

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
