Warning!!! Sunday V-E-N-T..

Don't you just hate it when people don't do their jobs? It still blows me away everytime I encounter such people...here in the great US of A! I guess these kind of people are everywhere, eh?

First was my encounter with the people from the cable company who until NOW can't seem to get their act together. Yes, we're still having some issues with them simply because they can't get their records straight.

Then there's our ever dependable mortgage company. We have such 'history' with this company that I don't even know where to start with their 'screw ups'. It's one company with departments but it seems that one department doesn't have a clue what the other departments are doing. So we keep getting bills from the construction loan department for the construction loan we USED to have...the latest bill being last week! That loan no longer exists because we closed with them already. So all the payments are now rolled into the monthly mortgage bill which we already have as of 2 weeks ago. Hello???? Maybe it will help if they keep each other updated???

Now comes the "latest"...our home insurance company. We paid this company a year's insurance already so we can proceed with the closing. We closed so we thought everything was all taken cared of. NOT! A few days after the closing with the bank we got this letter from the title company letting us know that we still owed the insurance company. Wait!! This insurance company sent us the quote which we paid in full so what did we owe them? It's something that I can't even understand so I won't even try to explain what it was they said we owed them. We paid them as soon as we got that letter just to get it over and done with. They cashed the check last week...great, right? Nope!

Yesterday...Saturday...we got 2 mails from them. The first one my husband opened was:

"Notice of Cancellation of Insurance"

WTH??? They said that they're canceling the insurance because we were not able to pay on the specified date. They cashed the darn check!!! That means WE PAID!!

I could see smoke coming out of the husband's ear so I opened the second mail before he blows ups. Guess what the second mail was...it's a...

"Notice of Withdrawal of Cancellation"

Yes, they're withdrawing the cancellation of our insurance on the same day they said they're canceling it! Why? Ummm...maybe because they cashed our check???? Maybe because we PAID on the specified date???? Maybe they're morons??? Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These 2 mails came on the same day!

Now you tell me...are these people being paid for being ignorant and not doing their jobs? Do they even know what their job is??? Because if that's all it takes to have a job and be paid, then I wouldn't have a hard time looking for a job when the time comes, would I?
