Search and You Shall Find...

Not too long ago, a very good friend of mine told me that she’s in love. Needless to say, I was very happy for her. She has been looking and waiting for that ‘special someone’ she can spend her life with for a long time. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out with them and my friend is crushed and has been nursing a broken heart eversince. It also breaks my heart because I know that they already have plans of getting married at the end of this year and she’s been looking forward to it. There’s not much I can do for her now because we’re thousands of miles away. We’ve talked on the phone a few times since it all happened.

The last time we spoke, I mentioned to her that she can probably do what I did and try online dating. One site I told her about is True.com. My friend can search for free on this site anytime she wants for her most compatible matches. It is the only online dating site that is recommended by Psychology Today. I normally wouldn’t suggest to friends or loved ones what I did but my friend is a smart person. I know that she can take care of herself so I am not worried about her. Aside from that, True.com screens marrieds and felons which makes it safer than other dating sites. She can even avail of the free sign up that True.com offers. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed and hope that sooner or later, my friend will also find someone she truly deserves.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. It's not that I have nothing to write about. I have plenty but I seem to have lost interest in blogging. I thought  at first that it was just a phase. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather?
