If there’s one word that I can describe gift shopping for Christmas it has to be challenging. I am not much of a shopper so that’s probably one factor why I find it challenging. Well, that coupled with the financial crunch that we’re all facing right now. It has been my practice to buy the gifts throughout the year so it won’t be too daunting for me when Christmas arrives. But I wasn’t able to do that this year because of the move. I tried to limit what I bought before that because I didn’t want to add more stuff to take with us from one house to another. So here I am cramming in finding gifts for loved ones and friends. Sigh...

Last year, I got personalized gifts for the most part. We also got some gift cards which by the way is no longer in my list this year because of the uncertainty of some stores' fate. So I have to find other things to give as gifts. Holiday frames are on top of my list for my sister and for one of my sister-in-law. I’ve been reading online about the stylish but affordable frames that Zenni Optical offers so I went to check out their website to see what it has to offer. A lot I should say. There’s a bunch of frames to choose from. Price starts at $8!! I browsed through the site to see the different styles they have and I think I may have to go back to the site many more times to see all of them. Here’s one I think will be perfect for my sister.

Lucky 13

We survived the 13-year mark of our union! Yay! LOL... It will be 13 years this weekend since that picture of us holding hands was taken. We took it ourselves to signify the start of our life together. A lot has changed since that day. For one, there is now a third hand that we both hold tight...that of our little one. Also, those 2 hands have more wrinkles now and the rings, well, they've seen better days. But we're still wearing those same old rings up to this day. Mine are exactly the same while that of the husband had to be re-sized because it 'shrunk'. I guess that's what 13 years does to a ring....it shrinks! Or does it? Hmmm.... Anyway, it's been a great 13 years that 'spawned' [hehe] a great human being. Some days are harder than the others but there are definitely more 'good' days than bad ones.
