Finding the Best Deal...

Wow...I didn't blog at all yesterday! I was a bit busy with work because we were trying to beat a deadline...which is today. I *think* we made it. I have yet to hear from my boss but all the work that needed done was all done last night before I retired for the day....around 12 MN. Ugh! Anyway, now I can concentrate in doing what the husband has been asking me to do since last week...find different car insurance quotes. Why? We got a mail from our insurance company last week letting us know that there will be some changes that will take effect next year. It was not stated what *changes* but we have the feeling that it may have to do with raise...of fees of course. Now that I am finally considering this thing called 'learning to drive', we will need not only one but two insurance so we are looking for deals that we can benefit from.

Alrighty then....I have to get going before some more work is released. I'm hoping to finish this insurance thing today...wish me luck in finding the best deal out there.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
