A Nice Gesture...

I'm talking about the letter that the Bush twins - Jenna & Barbara - gave the latest First Kids, Sasha and Malia. In the letter, they offer the little girls pieces of advice since they've been there, done that...twice. The twins told the Obama girls that they should enjoy their time at the White House and be as normal as possible. Here's an excerpt of the letter:

_Surround yourselves with loyal friends.

_Trick-or-treat down the plane aisle if you're traveling on Halloween.

_Cherish your pets "because sometimes you'll need the quiet comfort that only animals can provide."

_And this: "Slide down the banister of the solarium, go to T-ball games, have swimming parties, and play Sardines on the White House lawn. Have fun and enjoy your childhood in such a magical place to live and play."

Isn't that a nice gesture?

yes indeed! a very nice gesture and very nice character of these children. it only shows how they were raised by their dad and mom. how are you na? ako, okay lang... tired siguro would be an apt term to describe what i'm feeling right now. the internet was down the last couple of days kaya ngayon pa nakabisita dito sa yo. i just pray that all's well with you and the family especially the little one. my two kids have been sick of late. my youngest just recovered from a severe bout of tonsilitis while it is the second one i'm worried about... he's had this cough for about a month now but its more like an allergy that he's having especially in the afternoon after coming from school. anyway, have already scheduled a visit to the doc for a much needed checkup. bye for now. stay happy! ciao!

that was so nice of them...it was indeed a well-written letter...my hubby told me about it..he was touched actually..mejo napaiyak pa nga sya eh heehe :) esp that part when they mentined Pres Bush being a wonderful dad, etc..:)

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

M-U-L-C-H-E-D

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
