Back from Hiatus...

So what have I been up to? Work, work and some more work. So even if I was on an 'update hiatus' in my blogs, I was still glued on my laptop the last few days. I just wanted to concentrate in getting the work done...and now it's done so I'm back to blogging, for now anyway. Because work is so unpredictable nowadays, I tried to snag as much as I can when it's available. I even had to stay up later than I usually do so my eyes are just so tired from being in front of the computer screen for long periods of time. The wrinkles! Ugh! But I have no choice. We have to work very doubly hard today to survive and just be thankful that unlike many others, I still have the privilege to work and earn some. As for the wrinkles around my eyes, I will just find the best eye cream out there that I can find. Hey, wrinkles happen even if I don't work as hard, right? They're part of life so I just have to deal with them.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather?
