Gloomy Sunday....

After days of great weather, we woke up with rain today. The temperature has been in the 50s but it feels like it's colder because of the wind. Added to the gloomy weather is the husband coming down with something. Yep, he is not feeling well...

One of the guys that came to visit the shop on Thursday was sick. Hubby thinks he may have caught it. His immune system is probably down because of the almost 18-hour days he's been putting in for the last couple of weeks.

So he's in bed most of the time today. He has the sniffles plus the body aches and pains. He's been taking some pills so that helps a little. They still have to finish a job in the coming days so him missing work is out of the question. I just hope that whatever hit him will go away so he can do what needs done at work.

hala, I hope that virus is flushed out of his system soon. for most men,(a.k.a. breadwinner) bawal magkasakit hahaha.

chicken soup should be good. hope he gets well in time for the grueling workweek.

so, you have rain, kami we're awaiting white stuff from the skies again. yes, the 1st day of March, we are braising for a Noreaster tonight into tomorrow with approximately 8-14 inches of snow. sana mali sila. I dread it when snow and ice pile up. kawawa those people that need to brave the mess.

Speaking of weather, it has been gloomy here since yesterday. I even snowed earlier while it's raining.. Nakakatamad talaga.. hay!

bawal magkasakit talaga.. we have a sunny Sunday pero, i thought and was so confident enough that it was warm outside, until my bana told me that i should need a coat because its very cold outside. and yup, it is very cold.. good thing i wasn't fooled by the sunny day...

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
