Rain, Thunders, and a Tornado...

Exciting life I have, eh? After weeks and weeks of drought, rain came pouring early in the morning...with a tornado to boot! I think it's the first tornado I've heard of to land near here.

It's still pretty wet out there and it continues to drizzle but who cares....we're in the comfort of home.

I've been watching the news since 8 AM. They've been showing the place where the tornado landed and it's scary. The damage is not that bad compared to that of other states but it's still unnerving to know that it can happen to us....I'm hoping it doesn't though....happen to us I mean.

tornado...that is scary. glad it did not hit your area.

dito din maulan, but it's nothing like what you have. showers started in the middle of the afternoon and it was cloudy all day.

oh yeah...very scary, we are prone to Tornado..thankfully this year the weather has been favorable to us and Tornado stayed away.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather?
