The FUN of Moving...

About two weeks ago, I learned that the owners of the Philippine store I frequent to are selling their store. They are planning to move to the Philippines as soon as possible. I can’t blame them considering how our economy is. Their store has probably lost a lot of customers because of this. Anyway, when my husband was there, the owner was busy searching for places online that can give him international removals quotes for their big move. He said there’s no way he can do all the moving by himself since it’s from one continent to another. Hubby gave him some names that they use at work when they need to ship something overseas. Hopefully, they will be able to find affordable but reliable movers.

Moving is probably my least favorite thing to do. I think. Our last move didn’t help one bit to change this. We did everything ourselves so the stress almost got the best of us. I’ve moved a few times in my life especially when I was just renting. Finding a better apartment was something I always looked to but not the packing and moving my stuff. I was still single then so there was no need to hire removals specialist since I only had a couple of suitcases to pack. It was still a drag for me. I just didn’t like the process of packing & unpacking.

Anyway, when we moved about a year ago, my husband and I didn’t think we needed REMOVALS services because we were not moving the furniture. I also started packing the stuff months ahead thinking it would make it easier. Not! Because of the uncertainty of the moving date [blame it on the builder], I packed & unpacked boxes for weeks, if not months. When the time came that we were to move, we had to scramble in putting our stuff in boxes. That’s not fun at all. That was the time I wished we hired some movers to help us. But it was way too late at that time so we had to bear and smile through it all. Ah...the fun of it all.
