Wet !!!

That NOT our driveway [I wish it is![ but that's how it looks like outside. It's been raining non-stop today. It was raining yesterday as well but not continuously like today.

The local newscasters say rain is in the forecast tomorrow so there's a good chance it's going to be a wet Thanksgiving Day as well. Thankfully we're staying at home tomorrow just like the past few years. The little one has been planning non-stop on what we should make for TD so I have to draw a line on some things. She wants us to bake both pumpkin and apple pie but I made her choose only one. She also wants some other sweet stuff but we agreed in only baking brownies.

We still have to decide on the side dishes but guess what???? Our "bird" is already done... finished...baked...cooked....ready to be served! Yep, hubby wants it roasted a day in advance. He 'thinks' it tastes a lot better if it's a day 'old' so I gave in to his wishes. This is the first time we're trying it that way so I don't really know. It's now cooling on the counter. Once it has cooled already, I'm going to wrap it up and refrigerate it. Then we'll carve it tomorrow for our TD 'feast. Nice, eh?

Anyway, for those who are on this part of the globe....

yahoo!!! pwede bang makikain?

right here, believe it or not, I'm not in the mood to go anywhere, thus, all invites were turned down, and I'm not keen on playing the hostess as well. I'm not even making anything because I'm 'OFF' all week haha. kidding aside though, wala talaga akong gana at gloomy ang feeling ko. F and I will have dinner at a Chinese buffet and we have made sure this resto is open tomorrow. Italian kami tonight kaya pwede nang Chinese bukas.

enjoy your baking venture with E. it will be more leisurely na for you kasi tapos na ang bird.

Happy Thanksgiving! I wish we had turkey here in the Philippines, too. Yummy!

Ain't that baked "bird" too big for the three of you? How about sending part of it here. Ha ha ha!...
Happy Thanksgiving Day to all on that side of the globe!

Malls here are starting to adopt that American tradition. There are big banners about Thanksgiving celebrations everywhere here. I guess trying to bring it up for its commercial value eh.

how was your Thanksgiving day? Hope you three had a blast.

just came home from dining out at a Chinese buffet. There's not much resto operating today. It's good that we found this one.

o di nairaos din ang TD kahit sa bahay lang kami. never mind that the MIL is not happy with it hahaha. we had a sinful dinner at the Chinese buffet na bukas.

it's very windy here, aabot nga daw ng 50+++mph overnight into tomorrow morning. we just got home from our spa appointment.
