Sleep-Less-Ness

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Those that know me personally are aware that sleep is precious to me. My room mates when I was still in college and when I was still sharing apartments with colleagues knew that when I'm sleeping I shouldn't be bothered unless it's really important. Then I became a mother. Everything changed after that...as expected. No regrets though. I'll give up sleep anytime for the little one. But the little one is now at the age where I no longer need to wake up in the middle of the night to attend to her except on some occasions.
Believe it or not, even if she no longer needs me to wake up in the middle of the night [for feeding or diaper changing or whatever] I still don't sleep as soundly as I did when I wasn't a mother yet and no, the mattress we have has nothing to do with that. I think that's just the mother in me. It seems I am always listening in case she needs me for something. That's what mothers are for, right? Sleep is still something that's precious to me but nothing, as in NOTHING, can be more precious to me than my little one.
am like that too j. pag may nanggising sa kin, papatayin ko talaga! but you know, raising kids changes alot of things in us. wait till she grows up a bit, yun bang tipong maghihintay ka hanggang sa makauwi anak mo... ako, i dread the day. hahaha! tsaka pag tumatanda daw ang tao eh pakonti ng pakonti ang tulog hanggang sa mga 1-2 hours na lang itutulog mo. kaya lubos-lubusin mo na ang tulog mo ngayon, hahahaha!
