Slow Start

It's a few minutes past noon and I haven't done much. I've been on the computer since 9 this morning but I can't seem to do any work at all. Ugh! I have laundry in the dryer and I'm in the middle of making the grocery list but that's about it. I still have to find that perfect office desk that I want because the ones I found are either too big for the space we have or not good enough for my taste. There are thousands of them out there so I wonder why we can't seem to find 'the one'. I'll keep on looking online but if I don't find something today, we may just find one in the local stores around here. In the meantime I am also looking for some jewelry making tools for the little one. We got her a jewelry making kit a few months ago and she likes it very much. She's on the artistic side [no thanks to me of course] so she enjoys putting things together like little bracelets and necklaces. Since the kit we got her is almost empty, it's time for a new one. Hopefully I'll have success on finding the jewelry making tools today. Fingers crossed, of course!

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. It's not that I have nothing to write about. I have plenty but I seem to have lost interest in blogging. I thought  at first that it was just a phase. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
