Maybe Next Time?

Last month, a friend finally walked down the aisle. She's a much younger friend but she got married later than I thought she would. She's more than 10 years younger than me and she was just a baby when we worked together. She was the secretary of a small tutorial center a friend started and there's only 5 of us teaching plus her. We were practically family since we all lived in the center as well. This girl became our faithful listener everytime one of us teachers had something going on in our lives and we needed to vent.

I was so happy when I heard she was planning to get married although the date was yet unknown to us then. Three of the teachers she worked with including me are now living out of the country. She really wanted us to attend her wedding if we could. She even sent us save the date cards in the mail almost a year before her wedding date just because she wanted to give us time to plan a trip back home. I would have loved to attend her wedding but it's just not possible for me to do so. The other 2 teachers who are in Belgium also didn't make it to the wedding but we all sent her our best wishes and a promise that one day we will all see each other again. We just don't know how and when yet. Maybe in her next wedding? Ha!

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. It's not that I have nothing to write about. I have plenty but I seem to have lost interest in blogging. I thought  at first that it was just a phase. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
