Last Resort

One of the few complaints I have about this house is the lack of cupboards and cabinets. That's the big difference between this house and the other one. Beside the many cabinets in the old house, we also had a spacious pantry. It’s big enough that the little one would hide in it when she was playing hide and seek with us when she was younger. I remember dumping almost everything in there including spices I rarely used because there were spice racks on the door of the pantry itself. In this house, I don’t have enough space for everything. Hubby’s constantly at a loss when he’s looking for some spices specially.

I really want to get some kitchen spice racks ASAP but we haven’t had a chance to do that. I thought I could do that last weekend when we went to a store but I couldn’t find any spice rack in that store…and it’s supposed to be a store that sells everything for the home. Not quite. The only thing I was able to buy in that store was a binder notebook…so much for their ‘home store’ advertisement. Anyway, if I won’t be able to find the spice rack I want in the stores around here, then I’ll go to one place I know that sells everything…online! I haven’t started looking yet but I have a feeling that’s what I’m going to do sooner or later. That’s just the way it is…it's always my last resort...

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
