Juggling Work and...

..."something else". Hint...it has something to do with the coming Father's Day this weekend. It seems I'm always trying to beat the time on everything...even this 'something else' I've been busy with the past few weeks. I am so busy I haven't had the time to even look for a gift for the man of the house yet. Actually, he doesn't really want any gift but I'm usually stubborn that way. But this year as much as I want to get him something, I just didn't have the time to look around...even online. I'd probably end up getting him something like power tool batteries after the big day already and come up with some smart excuse like...I was busy. Tee hee...

The little one is very excited for the weekend because of this Father's Day. She's always excited about any celebration but she's extra excited when it comes to doing something for Dad. I guess she's the typical Daddy's little girl who wants to impress Big Daddy. I knew I was like that even until I was an adult already. So I can definitely relate with her....

Hi Huling! How was Dad's Day celebrated? Ano bang preparation ang pinagkaabalahan ni E? I'm sure masaya ang daddy lalo na at involved
Dito sa 'min, nagkatamaran na lumabas. The big kiddos offered to buy dinner take-outs but it rained cats and dogs. So, no choice ang nanay but to ccok something the "celebrator" would enjoy. The first time we didn't go out on a Father's Day.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. It's not that I have nothing to write about. I have plenty but I seem to have lost interest in blogging. I thought  at first that it was just a phase. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
