Time's Changed!

Or is it part of the aging process?

Let me clarify. My youngest brother who recently celebrated his birthday used to ask for things that I've always considered 'out of my range'...price range that is. I guess that's partly my fault because when I was still single and was making more than enough, I always gave in to his 'requests' of buying him things that were not, let's just say, cheap. I had the money and I didn't have any responsibilities at that time so I didn't really care. So when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, I was expecting him to hear say one of the Luminox blackout watches he's been bugging me about a few years ago or the motorcycle he once asked me to buy him. But guess what, he said 'nothing'. I asked him to repeat that and he said 'nothing'. Huh? Was I talking to the same brother? He said that time has changed. He now thinks that there more important things in life like his family. Oh yeah, I forgot he has his own family now so he knows what comes first now. LOL. But seriously though, I'm quite proud of my brother. He has grown so much eversince he had his son. He's like a totally different person now and I just wish he continues to be as responsible.

Ang bait naman ni brother, Huling! Pero ganun nga yata talaga pag pareho na kayong may sariling pamilya! Kung ano ang pagkakulit nung mga singles pa, e nababago ng panahon. Mas sensitive na and more considerate pa! I wish, buhay pa ang Kuya ko, kasi spolied ako dun e. Parang yung brother mo siguro sa 'yo, spoiled din! Hay, sarap lang ng me kapatid na mabait! hehe..

Typhoon Pedring is wreaking havoc here now! Parang gustong maging Ondoy e. Dami ng destructions. Hopefully,it will be gone by tomorrow. Sana!

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather?
