Gloomy Today

It was drizzling when hubby left for work early this morning. And it was still drizzling when I got up for the second time around at about 7. Needless to say, it's even darker outside at 7 [since it used to be 6 AM] so the little one was still fast asleep when I went to her bedroom. She hasn't adjusted to the new time so I have to get her out of bed for now even if her alarm still goes off as scheduled. I am hoping she'll get used to it ASAP.

Honestly, I don't like the time change. From what I've been reading, changing the time doesn't really have that much of an effect as far as conservation of energy is concerned. Isn't that the main reason why it was implemented in the first place...to conserve energy? The only thing this time change is doing is mess up people's routine. I'm positive many people came in to work late on Monday and made this as an excuse. I know one already that did that. Anyway, I hope they stop doing it already. I just don't see the logic behind it. That's just my opinion of course.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
