Rainy Mornings

It's pouring as I'm typing this. It was the same yesterday. Lights are on because it's quite dark right now. Our weather people already warned us that it's going to be this way probably for the rest of the week. At least the little one and I can still do our afternoon 30-minute badminton 'face-off'. Ha! Last week it was a different story because the rain came late in the afternoon...just in time for our 'game' so she wasn't a happy camper for a couple of days. I had to adjust the game time and played in the morning instead.

Speaking of our newfound hobby badminton, the man of the house is not very happy with the damage we're doing with his beloved grass, mostly weeds actually, as a result of our daily games. Tee hee. We've been staying on one spot when we play so the grass we've been stepping on is on life support at the moment. Oops. He already told us to move to a different spot so as not to further the damage. Yesterday, that's what we did. We were like 'nomads' while we were playing because we were going around in circles in the backyard so as not to make more bald spots on the husband's beloved lawn. And I thought we were doing him a favor by killing the weeds. Apparently not.

Di bale, nice naman ng hobby ng mga girls nya eh! Just take advantage of the good weather in the morning. Ganyan din dito eh, pag hapon, lakas ng ulan. Tapos na ang summer?

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
