What Next?

One of our neighbors is starting to concern us. There seems to be a lot of different kinds of people coming and going in their house. On a regular day, there are about 3 or 4 different cars parked in their driveway or in front of their house. But that's not the only reason we're starting to be concerned about. Recently they pitched a couple of tents in their property as well as parked a gooseneck trailer in their backyard. I'm not sure if anyone actually stays in the tent but it's odd to see them there for about a week now. We know they are very active in their church so that may have something to do with it. We're just hoping that they won't start bringing in homeless people or worse yet use their house for rehab purposes. Hubby said to pay close attention to what's going on there because we're just never sure how it will affect the peace and quiet we so love out here. I'm hoping those tents and trailers are there temporarily or else code enforcement will definitely come knocking on their doors.

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

M-U-L-C-H-E-D

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather?
