The Road Chip....

Yep, it's the latest installment of the highly-acclaimed [in our household...LOL] movie: C-H-I-P-M-U-N-K-S. Is it Oscar-worthy? Not really but it's definitely 'little-one- worthy so we just had to see it...and probably get the DVD as well when it comes out. We didn't tell her that we were going to see it. We just asked her to get ready because we were going somewhere. She doesn't usually ask questions where we're going so there was no danger of letting the cat out of the bag, so to speak. When we got to the movie theater, she asked what we were doing there. I think I told her that we were there to see another movie...can't remember which one anymore. It was only when she saw the big movie poster of the Chipmunks movie that she finally figured out why we were there. I just loved her smile when she realized we're going to see the Chipmunk movie.

When we entered the cinema, it felt like we actually rented the whole place because there were very few people there. Oh well, at least we were able to choose the seats our hearts desire. As expected, the movie was not for us. LOL. Did the little one enjoy it though? She did and that's what matters, right?

L-O-S-T. I guess that about sums up how I'm feeling right now...with blogging anyway. I don't even know how to start this post. 😕 It's been almost 2 years since I last posted. It's not that I have nothing to write about. I have plenty but I seem to have lost interest in blogging. I thought  at first that it was just a phase. Simple Life....

When we visited my family in 2012 we didn't actually spend as much time as I would have liked with most of them. That's because we planned a road trip which took most of our time. Since we were on the road majority of the stay, we weren't able to spend as much time in my childhood home. During our recent trip, that's exactly what we did. We spent a lot of time in my childhood home. We actually stayed home too much that we got bored after a while. But it was somehow an 'eye opener' for me as well as my significant other. On his part, he was finally able to experience 'real summer' back there. Both trips happened in April. But since we were in an air-conditioned car most of the time during our 2012 trip, we didn't really feel how hot it was. This time around, the air-con was only in our room. As soon as we stepped outside, it's hot. As a result, the AC in our room stayed on the whole day because it served as a reprieve from the heat. Every time

Finally finished the project I started a couple of months ago...at least. Now I'm a happy [and a bit sore] camper. I finished putting the mulch this morning mainly because I don't want to give the weeds another chance to invade the flower beds again...at least for a few months anyway. I think I had to pull out weeds twice before to prepare them for the mulch. I thought hubby would have the chance to put it down but his work just wouldn't let him so I decided to do it myself a few weeks ago. So why did it take me weeks to finish 2 and a half flower beds? I was just taking my time I guess. There was no hurry so I took my time. Now that I'm done with that 'project' I'm off to continue another one that I started about 2 weeks ago...decluttering my home office. The weather here is as unpredictable as...the weather? Last week it was raining almost everyday as predicted by the meteorologists around here. The time the rain would fall was the unpredictable part tho
