Unfortunately, this has hit close to home lately. My cousin’s husband lost his job. My cousin still has her job but she’s not sure for how long. As a result, they are now thinking of moving to another state possibly where I am at right now because the cost of living here is much lower than the cost of living in their present location. I’m happy that she’s going to be near me but sad the same time because of the circumstance surrounding their move. As my way of helping them, I volunteered to look for interstate moving companies that they can use if and when they move….here or in another state. With Relocation.com, finding a moving company is not that hard. All I did was to type the needed information such as zip code of my cousin, the state they are moving in and the amount of stuff that needs moved and a list of movers popped up. Sw...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a wee bit late blogging today. Been busy with household stuff...what else is new, right? The little one and I finally finished putting the Christmas cards together....stamps, address, return address, etc. We 'braved' the 'cold' and went outside to put them in the mailbox so they're on their way. The mail woman came already so they will picked up tomorrow. I just hope those that are going out of the country will make it on time. I'm sure there are a few people that I forgot to send a card to but I'll remember them before Christmas....hahaha... It's been really cold here today. We woke up in the 30s and it's currently in the 50s, so yes, it's cold to me. Actually, 73 is cold to me believe it or not so you can just imagine what a 30 degree Fahrenheit will do to me. So here I am curled up on the couch trying to blog and watch TV at the same time. That's it. I hope you're having a great day....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In my last birthday, a number of my high school classmates called to wish me a great one. It’s really great to hear from them as we have not seen each other in years. We actually started reconnecting as a result of the website that an alumni of our high school started a few months ago. There couldn’t be any better time for us to reconnect because our high school silver jubilee will be next year already. Yes, it’s been 25 years since I graduated from high school. So what has changed since then? A lot I should say, physically especially. I have gray hair now! Ugh! But that’s an easy fix because there’s an abundance of hair color out there that will deliver in just minutes of applying it. I can even go blond if I want to…but I won’t…LOL! But what about my skin? I don’t have flawless skin but it’s not that bad either. I am used in seeing a couple of lines here and there but when I look in the mirror now, I can see some prominent wrinkles already, everywhere o...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back in the early 90s, a friend and I got our very first term life insurance policies through a former co-worker. My reason in getting a life insurance at that time were my parents who were my primary dependents. I wanted to make sure that they will be taken cared of financially if something happened to me. My friend? I had no idea why he got it...but I'm guessing he had the same reason as mine since he wasn't married yet when we got it. A few years after we got the insurance, my friend came here in the US to teach. He was already married then with a daughter. He was able to bring his wife and daughter here on his second year of teaching in a public school in San Francisco. A few months after his family arrived here, an unfortunate event happened. He, his wife and their roommate were killed when their neighbor went into a shooting rampage. My friend's daughter survived. My friend may not know it at that time, but his decision to get an insurance...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In this time of uncertainty, I decided to play it safe and save as much as I can just in case. Since it appears that banks are the ones highly affected by the economic crisis, I am taking matters into my own hands. Don't worry, I still deposit money in the bank. I just make sure that it does not exceed the $100k limit for insurance. As for the rest of my savings...it's here. I wish I really have this much green [and pink, blue, purple, orange, etc]...!!!!!!!!!!!! hik hik hik

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Wal-Mart employee got trampled to death by eager shoppers at a New York Wal-Mart store. This is what I read in the news this morning while I was doing my usual news surfing. If I am not mistaken, this is not the first time something like this happen. I really don't know what could be in stores during this Black Friday madness but I know one thing...it isn't enough reason for somebody to be trampled to death. The guy was just doing his job but because some people can't wait to get their hands on those so-called deals, they didn't care if someone gets hurt in the process. According to the news, they are now reviewing the surveillance cameras at that Wal-Mart store. I don't know if they will ever find all those who contributed to the death of this man [since there were about 2,000 people barging in the store when it happened] but I hope to God that they would. The man was the only one who died but there were a few people who were broug...
