Sino Galit????

Finally, I am able to do this 'maddening' tag that Recel and Mommy Emma passed to me. 'Maddening' kasi nakakaloka maghanap ng pics na hindi kita yung ngala ngala at wisdom teeth ko. Anyway, I found a few in our albums. This is the best I can come up with so please bear with me. This first picture was taken by the hubs during our first Christmas together in 2001. He got me that guitar for a Christmas present. I was playing it early in the morning and he wanted to take a picture of me playing. Ummm...no way! I just woke up. If you notice my hair was still on a messy bun. So I just covered my fez with the guitar and let him....talk to the hand!!! LOL. This second pic was taken in Taipei, Taiwan. I was 'forced' to emcee the graduation ceremony of the grade school. I have the story here if you want to read why I was not a happy camper on that picture. This last one was taken again in Taipei, Taiwan during the HS graduation. Those were some of my co-teachers in th

============================================= My husband is getting a new phone very soon which will be his business phone. Since it's going to be his business phone, he is getting one which has a Windows Mobile 6 Professional. So now he is in search of a software that he so he can connect his new phone with the computer here and the one at work. So I’ve been searching for him and I came across UCee . This software is perfect to my husband’s needs for his business because he can access photos and documents in his work computer as well as our home computer and stream videos with it. This means that he won’t be asking me to email him the needed documents or pictures anymore in the future. Aside from this benefit, he can also stream videos to show his clients during their meetings. With the new phone equipped with Ucee, I'm sure my husband's business would be much easier for him to handle.

How Filipino are you??? A Tag....

Image
================================== ALERT!!! There has been some development sa gauge....hehe!!!! I’ve been tagged by Anah . She wants to know how Filipino Juliana is...ha! I think this tag originated from Zang [?]..not certain though but you can check it out. Just a bit of a background, I was born during the time that most or all of the listed items were still very much in existence. So it's either I've seen them or experienced them myself. That being said...and basing it on the first 24 items only, I got 23. I hate baggages so I don't bring boxes with me BUT I send them ahead of me. I am very Filipino...no doubt about that....and I'm proud being one! =========================== Over time, the Filipino way of living has changed a lot, thanks to the influence of the western culture. The once-simple living has gone wonderfully sophisticated that it seems we have gradually lost the traits unique us Filipinos. Even so, we can’t and won’t deny the fact that rooted in our sp

Painfullllll......

That's how I feel right now while watching the governor of California - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is doing a speech right now which will eventually lead to his endorsement of Senator John McCain for McCain's presidential candidacy. Oh my...it's like watching the Terminator over again. He talks just like that character..."I'll be back"! Anyway, Rudy Giuliani is now endorsing John McCain so he is standing beside the guy while Mr. Governor is painfully delivering a speech. Ouch!

Tag Time....

=============================== It's almost TGIF! Yipee!!! Days pass by so quickly I sometimes forget what day it is. I was thinking it's still Tuesday. I just didn't notice that Wednesday passed by already. Anway, my Tukayo left me a note about these little sumthin' sumthin' she has for me in her Lair...and here they are. First one is the 'You Make My Day Award' ....have not received one like this before so I'm pretty excited to get it. Thanks Tuks . This second one that Tuks and Mommie Emma handed me, the " Biggest Heart Award ", was handed to me by my cyber bwader Denz a couple of days ago. I posted it already then but I am posting it again. May reklamo??? Didn't think so...hehe...Thanks again, Lucel Juliana and Mommy Emma .

======================================== With the sexy hot Momma Anne posting pics of her little angel Jadyn , I, of course, was having the "baby blues"...hehe. No, not the ones you have after giving birth just the 'envy baby blues', if there is such a thing...LOL. Hey, I'm allowed to have those, right? Especially now that I may not have another one....not that I want one at this late in life...'ya know I'm in my early/late 'tys...twentys?? thirtys??? maybe fiftys Just take a guess, ok??? Haha. Anyway, I was going thru our little one's baby albums, as usual, and I found these 2 pics of her sleeping. I just don't understand how she could sleep like this for hours...literally. I was uncomfortable for her but she was not so I didn't dare bother her. Mind you she was at different stages of her baby life here. The one on the left was taken when she was probably 5 months old while the one on the right was when she was almost 2 years old! See t

Florida Primary is Over and Done.....

And it looks like it's what the other candidates needed to realize they're better off just supporting instead of running for a national position. Just this morning, it was announced that Rudy Giuliani of the Republicans decided to drop out of the race and just support John McCain. As for the Democrats, the underdog John Edwards is also quitting the race. This is his second time to bid for the nation's top post. He originally wanted to run for the Presidency in 2004 but was convinced by his opponent John Kerry to join his ticket as a Vice Presidential candidate. Well, he is still young. He still has numerous chances to make his dream of becoming President a reality. So who's left now for each party. Let's see: Democrats still has Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama going at it. I don't think any of these 2 will give up till the last minute. Hey, maybe they will run in one ticket. Republicans on the other hand still has 3 in the running. John McCain , Mitt Romne

Lose the Weight the Right Way

============================================= I think a lot of mother would agree with me when I say that losing what’s known as ‘baby fat’ is one of the hardest things to get rid off. When I got pregnant, I did not gain a lot of weight when I was pregnant but I gained some. During the first few months to a year after my daughter was born, I would call still what I gained as ‘baby fat’. It’s now more than five years and I still have the “baby fat”. My husband keeps telling me that I better drop ‘baby’ from it because it’s obviously not that. So for about 4 years now, I have been trying to find the Quickest Way To Burn Fat . I have seen a lot of advertisements on TV on how to do it but I don’t really think those are for me. Yes, it’s been long overdue for me to lose this so-called ‘baby fat’ and I want to lose the quickest way possible but I want to do it right. I have been doing some reading online and I found some informative sites but the best one I’ve come across with is this site c

Just a few days ago, my husband and I were talking about our IRA and 401K and retirement as well. We got the quarterly report of our accounts and it seems that the one we chose for our accounts are not doing any good. So he wants to do a revamp on some of them and do some other kinds of investments like mutual funds. He asked me to do some searching and guess what I found... Investment Research - TheBuyList.com . Well, it seems I don’t have to spend time researching now because I found TheBuyersList.com. With this site, I don’t have to do all the research that goes with investment. They have all the things I need to make a choice like relevant buy and sell percentages as well as comparison of one’s portfolio with mutual fund transactions. Now I know what to tell the husband when he asks about my ‘research’….check TheBuyList.com. Whew…that was easy.

Stand-out with the Help of Fast Signs

Image
===================================== The way I see it, the success of a business usually depends on how good the product or the service is. People will keep coming to your business if you have the best product or service around. The first step though is to get these people to try your product. One of the best ways to attract customers to a business is the use of Banners . This is what customers see first when they go around looking for something they need so if the banner stands out then people will see it and will probably go in and see what the business has to offer. When it comes to good quality and affordable Signage , the place to go to is Fast Signs. They do different kinds of Signage that will go well with whatever business you have or planning to have in promoting. They combine technology, innovations and talented staff to come up with a stand out banner that you need to boost your business. They do Digital Printing so they produce fully enhanced colorful banners. So if you h

Re-arranging my Priorities...

=========================================== ....work wise that is. I seem to have so much on my plate for the past few weeks that I kind of feel tired and burned out right now. It seems that I have not been managing my time wisely since I'm not as productive as I used to. This blogging is good and rewarding sometimes but it takes up so much time doing it. You know what I mean, aside from the blogging itself...I have to do some rounds. I feel guilty because I have not been able to visit friends as often as I used to but I try really hard to visit as much as I can. So I am going to do some re-arranging starting today. I will still blog but I will try to limit it since I seem to be spending majority of my time doing it. My other 'rakets' are getting pushed on the sideline wherein I should be doing those more since they should be my priority. So I may not be as visible as I used to but I will be around. To all of my regular visitors and my blogger friends, thanks for the time y

Make your Dream Vacation Come true...

One of our plans before my husband and I got married was to see some places around the US. He really likes for me to see some the Redwood forest in California and some places in North Carolina. But before we could even plan what to do on those trips, we got pregnant. Everything was put on hold. So far we’ve traveled once as a family. It was fun but it would have been a lot more fun if we were able to find some cheap hotels during the trip. We went to 3 different cities in California and we had to pay for 3 hotels of course. Aside from that, we didn’t know what to expect with a 3-year in tow. At least now I know of some tips on what to do when traveling with a kid. Hotels by city provides 10 family travel tips which would come handy when we go to our next travel. Where would the next travel be? How about the Philippines? I really want to go to the famous Boracay Resort. I have only heard of stories about this place and I am from that country. With the cheap hotels that I can find throu

Utopian Society a Dream?

I am always looking for something interesting to read. Be it books, magazines, online news or websites. I am not the type who is very vocal so I don’t really get into any kind of argument with anybody unless it involves my family. Ha! I have come across different websites from websites on working at home to websites of different political candidates. One of the websites I came across is the Stateless Society Website . To say it’s an interesting website is probably a good description. What is it? It’s a website dedicated to see fairer society. It discusses a wide range of topics from money, government. It’s different, refreshing and educational to describe it. So if you are up to read something new, different and interesting visit Stateless Society Website. And decide for yourself: Utopian Society a Dream?

Kennedys Vs.Kennedys????

Yep, you know it's election time when it's family vs. family. I just read in the news that the Kennedys just picked their candidates they want to endorse. It's just the primary and it's this exciting already. Yesterday it was JFK's daughter Caroline Kennedy who announced she's backing Barack Obama. She even said that then today Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy just announced the same thing - he is for Barack Obama also. Now it becomes Kennedys vs. Kennedys because Ted Kennedy's sisters Kathleen and Kerry as well as their brother Bobby are supporting Hilary Clinton. Oh no....what's going to happen now? LOL...now I am only waiting for Eunice Shriver to endorse someone. For those who don't know who Kathleen Kennedy Townsend is, she used to be Lt. Governor of Maryland....whatever than means. There we go.......let's see what tomorrow brings....rather who endorses who...

Find Real Happiness with The Sedona Method

Image
==================================== Am I happy? Hmm…I would like to believe that I am but after reading about "The Sedona Method" , I may not be as happy as I think I would like to believe. I mean I am happy but I can probably be happier, you know. We all try to be happy one way or another. We do several things to make it happen and yes, these things make us happy….temporarily. The way I see it, temporarily happiness is brought about by different reasons. Yes, these reasons are the key to temporary happiness. Once these ‘reasons’ are gone, happiness would usually go with it. But is a ‘reason’ really needed to be happy? Can’t we be happy for no reason at all? Of course we can and that is what’s in this book titled: Happy for No Reason. It is a book written by Marci Schinoff. She is one of the featured teachers in: The Secret . In the book she aptly compared Borneo monkeys to people. Well, not physically but how monkeys and people remain trapped in something. For the monkeys,

Next Student can Make Your Dream Come True

Image
===================================== I remember being told at a young age that having an education is the best gift that I will ever receive. So I have always been adamant in finishing my college degree even if it was very stressful financially and I did. During the time that I was in college, getting a student loan consolidation was very complicated. It shouldn’t be though. Nowadays, that is no longer an issue. Student Loan Consolidation has been made as simple as possible by New Student . It is one of the largest scholarship databases at present helping a lot of students fulfill their dreams of getting an education. They are making the life of a lot of students easier by attending to them personally. Questions are answered quickly by an education finance advisor. HAPPY Weekend Everyone

It's Saturday once again. For some us, it's time to kick back and relax, but for some, like me..it's time to do some unfinished chores. Yes, since I'm home all the time, I have the tendency to put things off. That's alright....I'm not complaining. It's one of the advantages [maybe DISadvantages, depends on how you look at it] of being a WA HH M - " working at home hot momma " - ahemmm!! So I will be off for a few. I started doing some rounds but I can't finish them all in one sitting. I promise to visit the rest throughout the day. In the meantime, let me leave you with this.... Don't Write Your Name....

...to refuse making a big spectacle out of the tragic death of Hollywood actor Heath Ledger. Anderson Cooper of CNN's 360 degrees program decided to stop reporting about the death of the actor until the toxicology result is out. This, I believe, is the best thing that a reporter has done since the tragic event happened. It only shows that Mr. Cooper still believes in responsible journalism by refusing to create unnecessary twists to the sad event. I hope that more reporters will follow suit and stop the circus they have created themselves. Here's a part of what Anderson Cooper wrote on his 360 Blog : “ For the last two nights we have reported on actor Heath Ledger. His shocking death is clearly a story a lot of people are interested in, but tonight we will not be reporting more on it. The truth is there is not really anything new to report. The full results of the various tests done on Mr. Ledger will not be ready for perhaps a few weeks and there is very little new information

Is your Job Recession-Proof???

==================================== Well, if you're in anything related to the housing industry, probably not. This is what those in outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas are saying. Having been directly affected with real estate roller coaster ride for the past few years, I can only agree with that. Just a few days ago, the project manager of the house we are having built was FIRED from her job. Not enough work for the builder so they had to do the cost-cutting strategy of firing those they believe are not useful in their business right now. According to the economists at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, the US is on its way for a full blown recession in 16 years. Surprising? Not quite because a whopping 57% believe that we are in recession already. So What are these industries they are saying will not be affected if the big "R" indeed happens [or is happening already]??? Education, Energy, Health Care, Environmental Sector, Security and International Busin

Floors of Your Dreams at wfca.org

Image
====================================== One of the first things I notice whenever I visit a house is the floor. I am not judging the dwellers though by the floor in their house but I have always been fascinated by the flooring of a house. In our house, I always make it a point to clean the floor because I don’t feel that it’s clean unless the floor is clean. That may seem weird to other people but that’s just how I feel. One of the sites I’ve come across with vast information about flooring is the World Floor Covering Association . At wfca.org, one can find flooring stores that can meet his or her heart’s desire. I grew up with wood floors. This is probably why I am bias when it comes to wood flooring . When I was younger, I spent hours and hours a week making sure our wood floor was shiny. At WFCA.org, they explain different kinds of wood floors and why people like me are drawn to these kinds of floorings. And if these pieces information about floor is not enough, at wfca.org you wi

Kingco....an Online Tree Nursery

==================================== One of the things I didn’t have when I was growing up is a garden. We just didn’t have the space or the time have one. I remember planting some plants around our house when I was elementary. I really took care of them. One thing that I have always admired is topiary . I think I first saw this in the movie Edward Scissorshands. It was neat seeing all those plants shaped into different animals or characters. I wouldn’t say I have a green thumb but I planted before and they made it until I neglected them due to my busy schedule. Now that I am a stay at home mom, I have some time in my hands so I have been checking some online sites that’s all about plants and garden like kingco.co.uk . It's an online tree nursery that features all kinds of plants. Not only do they have all the plants and trees in their website, they also have Garden Design Ideas that one can use as a basis for his or her own garden. Just like everything else, putting up a garden a

Aha...Work CAN really KILL You!!!!

======================================= Work-related stress to be more specific. And I thought it's just a popular saying. Now it's been "proven" that, yes, work-related stress can actually kill a person. Well, that's based on a findings on a study that been's going on for years. Who was involved in the study you may ask?? Me! Not quite. They actually had 10,000 British civil servants. I wonder if the result can be applied to us here in the US. Anyway, the most affected by this are people who are..get this, under 50. Oh now I can't wait until I turn 50, then I won't be included in the and I can stress myself as much as I want to. Hehe. Do you think factors brought about by stress contributed to this findings? Of course. Those who are stressed have the tendency to drink, smoke and eat more. I didn't think a study is needed to know that. So now you know. Stop chasing those opps or you may just end up in the hospital....kidding... Source: Yahoo News

See America with the Help of Trusted Tours & Attractions

Image
============================================ Being from another country, I always wanted to go on sightseeing tours here in America. But before I had the chance on doing that I got pregnant with our little girl. We’ve been on tours but only locally. We are in Florida so I really want to go on Orlando tours . So we planned on going first to Disney World. We did but the trip going there made us realize that next time we go on a tour, we would look for places like Trusted Tours. Why? Because the trip would probably have been a lot easier and less stressful. What happened was my husband who would normally print out a map on long trips like that did not do it that time. It’s understandable because it’s only a 2-hour drive from our place to Disney World in Orlando. Well, that 2 hour trip became a 4 hour trip because we couldn’t find Disney World . So instead of enjoying the trip, my husband had his migraine attack. So yes, lesson was learned. So for you out there who are planning in taking

Irresponsible Journalism???

====================================== I posted in my other blog about the demise of Heath Ledger . He was a 28-year old Aussie actor who's been one of the in-demand actors in Hollywood. Per the news that have been printed, they still don't know what caused his sudden death and it will take 10 days for the toxicology test results. Since he was a well-known celebretiy worldwide, different news agencies are trying to sensationalize his sudden death by coming up with their own twist of this sad and tragic end. What blows me away is they would air / print snippets of his past interviews making it look like he was relating something that he's not. These snippets, particularly him talking of death and his daughter, make it appear that he's like giving hints of what's to come....meaning his death. But if you go over the whole interview, he was just talking how his being a dad had changed his outlook about death. Someone died and there's now a little girl who will grow

Take a look at the following picture! First, it is not animated. Are your eyes making it move? To test this, stare at one spot for a couple seconds and everything will stop moving!! Or look at the black center of each circle and it will stop mov ing! But move your eyes to the next black center and the previous will move after you take your eyes away from it!! Weird, huh ???

Busy Tuesday....

===================================== Well, this time it's not related with my work. I'm busy going through bunches of papers. Sorting, shredding and filing papers the whole morning. This is probably one of my favorite things to do but it sure is very tiring just sitting on my bum for hours. I am trying to find and sort all the papers that my husband needs for a meeting regarding the upcoming trial of the house builder who screwed more than 100 families of money resulting to broken dreams and depleted savings. The now so-called 'bankrupt' [I don't believe he is indeed bankrupt] builder, Coral Bay Construction, Inc ., promised to build numerous houses for 140 families and failed short of that promise. Unfortunately, we are one of the many families that have been fighting an uphill battle since 2006, legally that is. It has been an uphill battle for us personally since we signed the papers in late 2004. Instead of facing the music and taking responsibility for his act

List of 80th Academy Award Nominees

================================== Awards season is here once again. A few of the award giving bodies already handed the awards. Unlike the previous ones, there was no big red carpet waiting on for the stars. Instead the trophies for the Golden Globe were delivered to the stars since there was no big ceremony conducted. Why? Writer's strike it is. Now we just have to wait and see if the Oscars' is going to suffer the same fate as the Golden Globe. This morning, the nominees for the 80th Academy Award were announced. Here is the list from Yahoo in case you're one who follow these awards. As expected, some of the nominees are not expected to be in the list while those who were thought as shoo-in were shut out like Keira Knightley of "Atonement" and Angelina Jolie of "A Mighty Heart". 1. Best Picture : "Atonement," "Juno," "Michael Clayton," "No Country for Old Men," "There Will Be Blood." 2. Actor : Geo

Golf Accessories

Image
================================= Golf is probably a game I will never learn. Well, maybe I would but it will take some time to teach me I bet. But I have some friends who love this game. Funny thing is even if they are not playing, you would still see them ‘hitting’ an imaginary ball with an ‘imaginary’ bat. I guess that’s how addicting the game is. My brother has also started playing this game not too long ago. So when I asked him what he wants for his birthday later this month he didn't think twice, yes, something for golf. So off I went searching for golf bags first because that’s number one on his list. I found quite a few online so I decided to choose a couple that I can show my husband so we can decide together. I found these bags at golfballsandaccessories.com . Here they are. While I was at the site, I also browsed for golf balls. They have a lot of golf balls, both brand new ones and used ones. They have use Callaway golf balls that they sell for as low as $7.99 a dozen

New England Patriots IS Still Undefeated!!

=================================== Yes, the New England Patriots is on its way to the Superblowl...again! This will the 4th time that Tom Brady is leading the Patriots for another shot to the Superbowl. He led the team in winning 3 Superbowl games so it won't be a surprise if he does it again this time. They defeated the San Diego Chargers today with a score of 12 - 21 to win the AFC title for the 4th time in 7 years. This win against the Chargers didn't come easy though as Brady had some less impressive throws in the game. Randy Moss was not the shining star he was during the other games either. I guess this just shows that it's still a team effort to win, huh? So now we wait as to which team they will be playing against come Superbowl XLII on February 3, 2008 in Glendale, Arizona. If it were me...it has to be the team I've been rooting for this season....the Green Bay Packers , woo hoo!! I'm not from Green Bay but I really want Brett Favre to win the Supe

Now He's in the Ellen Show...

======================================== I knew it!! Remember this entry from yesterday? Well, I am now watching the Ellen Show and guess who was mentioned in the show when Ellen talked about the American Idol premiere....yes, Renaldo Lapuz. I guess he's going to be another William Hung . Remember him? He's probably the most famous non-finalist in AI history. Mr. Lapuz may just give him a run for his money now though. They usually have a lot of "unusual" wannabes [sorry for the word] during the AI auditions but they chose Mr. Lapuz to feature in the Ellen show. As expected, he has numerous You Tube videos now. There are 5 pages with 20 frames on each page, I think...about 100 You Tube Videos last time I checked. Oh, based on some of the You Tube I've seen so far, Mr. Lapuz may be a Filipino, yes a kababayan. Maybe I should star thinking about auditioning at AI myself, huh? Who knows, I may end up at the Ellen Show... the Tonight with Jay Leno or maybe even at
